Introducing Video4 From Race Technology
Video with synchronised data is the latest development in electronics for motorsport. The VIDEO4 is a brand new product from Race Technology, combining video and data logging in a powerful and highly configurable device.
Video recordings are fast becoming the tool of the trade in any kind of competitive sport. Race Technology introduces an affordable and powerful video recording system for use in any kind of vehicle from off shore powerboat racing to motorcycle circuit racing and desert rallying.
Video Recording For MotorSport at The Push of a Button
Combining video recordings and data logging in a motorsport environment has obvious advantages, but this system can have a variety of uses. The ease of use and set up opens up all sorts of possibilities for driving instructors, bus drivers or even train operators. The possibilities are endless and the system is easily configurable for any kind of environment. Race Technology also has the expertise to customise the system if need be to suit a particular application.
The VIDEO4 is a video recorder that records up to 4 video streams and combines them in a user configurable way to a single video stream with up to 12Mb⁄s recording quality, which is twice the quality of a normal DVD. Not only can the output include picture in picture from the cameras it also has the capability of displaying graphical overlays, all recorded in real–time displaying different vehicle parameters which can be taken from a Race Technology data logger such as the DL1 and DL2 or from the vehicle’s ECU.
Video Recorder and data Logger Combined
When the video recorder and data logger are combined, the video and the data is perfectly synchronised and stored on a single compact flash card, including the real time GPS track maps which can include real time satellite photo overlay. This allows for a fast analysis of the data and video using our powerful Analysis software.
The video feed can also be viewed directly from the VIDEO4 unit using the composite video output or on a PC using our own stand alone video player. Also included in the package is software to create DVD’s from the output video complete with chapters and menus, ready for playback on any DVD player. This video system offers features that until now have only been available in systems costing 4 times the price — or in some cases not available at any price.
Sport and Professional Versions
of Video4
The VIDEO4 video and data logging system is available in two different versions Sport and Professional. The Sport unit is enclosed in a high quality plastic casing and the Professional unit is a more robust version enclosed in a waterproof CNC machined aluminium casing conforming to IP66 standards.
